Eat, sleep, train and school…and a bit of snow…thats my life at the moment and I am am totally loving it.
Yesterday I had an epic shred day with the crew. I am not sure how much snow there was but enough to leaving me feeling f***ed at the end of the day…that is one of my favorite feelings in the world, so good!! My highlight was definitely a massive snowball fight at the bottom of Harmony while waiting for it to open followed by fresh tracks on Boomer Bowl to Wet Dreams. I heart the mountains!!!
My camera is getting repaired AGAIN…so no new pictures. As soon as I get it back I will get going on the podcasts!

No, thats not me! I wish.
Today I had the opportunity to give Skeleton a go at the Whistler Sliding Centre…let’s just say it ROCKS! I look up at the Sliding Centre just about everyday and wonder why I have not been up there and why I am not obsessed with it by now! To say I was excited is an understatement!
My excitement soon turned to -’holy shit’- when I saw the size of the walls! Pictures do not give it justice! We started from the Maple Leaf Start which is only the bottom third but still rad nevertheless. I had never even sat on the thing before I hit the ice…no joke…haha! Before I knew it I was hurtling 95k/h face first down the track! I don’t really know how to describe it…the forces on your body are crazy you feel like you are being smashed against the sled through the corners!! Your face is also inches, yes inches, off the ice. On the last corner the forces were strong the front of the helmet dragged on the ice! I was a total passenger on the thing but there is some serious skill to get it good…the best are separated by thousandths of a second!
Skeleton here I come!!!
I set the speed record for the day on my 3rd run which I was stoked about- 98.3k/h…beat all the boys! Whoop Whoop!

I hope that you all have had a great holiday season!!
It has been pretty good on this end. I spend some time down in California which was a lot of fun. The NW has been pounded with snow lately and my flight was canceled so I got to spend a few extra days in the big CA. I got some much needed riding in with Curtis Keene, Brandon Sloan, Buck and Juan Graziosi at UCSC in Santa Cruz…I cannot wait for summer!
I made it to Seattle on Christmas Eve and had some family bonding time. We were three for three for movie watching…three movies in three days. I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Valkyrie and Marley and Me. Benjamin Button sucked…don’t waste your money. Valkyrie ruled.
I am back in Whistler now. Last night was one of my best New Years Eves’ to date. My experience with New Years Eve is that there is always so much build up…it almost always turns out to be a bust. My friends and I decided to ring in the New Year in style. We went on a hike/campfire mission. We hiked up an XC trail and built a big fire and just hung out and watched fireworks and ate marshmellows. Pretty sweet if you ask me. It was a bit of a mission but it was well worth it and I didn’t start my New Year with a hangover so that is a plus. I spent my New Years Day shredding some deep ass pow! Hellll yeah.
