Landed from Jamaica and went straight to one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Stunning in every sense of the word.

-no comments-Things have been pretty mellow the last couple of weeks. Kinda the calm before the storm. Just been riding, gyming it up and trying to get organized for the year. Bikes to build, trips to plan + projects to work on. I leave for Jamaica in less than a week and from there it is pretty much full throttle though the fall. Lots of really awesome stuff planned for the year and I am soooo excited. I have absolutely loved being in the Northwest this fall, riding new trails and shredding with old friends and new. I feel so refreshed and happy and I am ready to roll!! YEEEEEEEE.

You have probably seen lots of my photos from the making of this on my Instagram…but now the edit is live with a nice little write up from Shorty. Check it out on Pinkbike.
(This is 1/5 of a larger project that we are working on, interested in being a part of it? Email me.)

A few weeks back I went out to Orcas Island with some of my favorite girls and Paris, a boy and very talented photographer. ha. The NW is a hot bed of talented girls on bikes and Paris and I wanted to get a handful of those girls together for a photo trip, so that’s what we did…Jill Kintner, Katherine Short, Katrina Strand, Sarah Leishman and myself! It turned out to be a pretty awesome couple of days. We rented a cabin right on the beach, rode, shot photos and bonded! Fun time. Look for the article in the Spring issue of Freehub.
-no comments-Ahhhhh I love being back in BC. I have missed it and everyone here so much. I am not quite in snow mode yet (even with the massive dump of snow in Whistler this past week)…so I have been doing lots of fun, wet rides with my friends. I spent a few days in Vancouver, some time in Whistler, some time in Squamish and now I am out on the Sunshine Coast. I will be here for another week and then I am headed back to Washington for a little photo mission. :)
-no comments-I was so proud to be a part of this event. I saw how hard everyone at Altius worked to put this thing together and to see it all come together in such a spectacular fashion was pretty bad ass….the turn out was huge, the excitement was contagious and it was just FUN. So fun. There was a lot of pressure to make this a great event and they went above and beyond, I think you are going to see a lot more of the Downhill Taxco in years to come.
-no comments-It’s been so great to be back in the NW with a bit of downtime. I mean it has not been all downtime…I have been on the go pretty much everyday, but it has been nice settling into a bit of a rhythm, eating home cooked meals, riding with my friends, building up some strength again at the gym, working out the kinks at yoga, getting organized for 2013 (I’ve got some exciting changes which I will tell you about soon!). I am really loving it. This thing is going to get some regular content here soon….but in the meantime Instagram and Twitter are the spots!
-no comments-This past weekend we had a little weekend getaway to Acupulco. This trip hasn’t been particularly warm so it was nice to get some solid beach time in and soak up a little sun. :)
-no comments-After a full week of shooting, it was nice to have a little downtime in Ixtapan de la Sal. Bunglalows Lolita and Ixtreme World were kind enough to put us up for the weekend and show us a good time. I think that Ixtapan de la Sal is going to be the next hot spot for mountain biking in Mexico. Hano the owner of both Bunglalows Lolita and Ixtreme World has a real vision for this area and he already has a rad pumptrack and downhill trails…and that’s just the beginning.
During our time here, the boys put some love into Hano’s pumptrack which was pretty cool. It was super fun to just hang out and laugh and shred with friends!! Pumptracks are the best. :)
Oh yes, I played my first game of golf too (Thanks Gran Reserva!!!). Can’t say it is my favorite sport, but I had fun!!

I am slightly obsessed with this place. To be honest, it wasn’t my favorite place in the world to ride…I mean the dirt was epic and I was riding with my friends but as far as trails go it was more about the adventure of it all. The hike was pretty gnarly, it was really cold (hailing/sleeting), the terrain was really rough so our bikes spent the majority of the time on our backs and the elevation was high (we didn’t go to the peak but the peak is 17,000+). It’s crazy to think that 17,000ft wouldn’t knock me on my butt but it didn’t, I guess we are getting used to the elevation here in Mexico. Anyway, putting all of that aside, the place was just stunningly beautiful. All of the colors complimented each other and the light and the movements of the clouds, it was so, so nice. Looking back at all of my photos makes me love it that much more.
I LOVE RAMPAGE. It is seriously the coolest event ever. I went there a few days early to hang out and dig…it is so cool being out in the desert in this kind of environment with all of your good friends. I like getting to know a place and Rampage is no different. Pretty cool to see all of the lines up close, see how other riders see the lines and also help to bring what they see to life (I have a long way to go when it comes to digging though!). The days were long but I loved every minute of it…sunrise to sunset!!
